Sometimes you need a refuge

In our Sunday School class last week, in which we are studying Hebrews, we took a quick sojourn to the account of God’s cities of refuge for the Israelites. It reminded me again that we have the perfect refuge in Christ, in Whom we are safe forever. Even when things look bleak, we only need to look to Christ and hold fast to our faith in Him.

It also reminded me of a series of sermons by Dr. Howard Sugden, from 1985. Here they are. Take a break from election results to remember that God is in control, and has a plan that is in place even now.

For the scripture background, go here and here.
