Worship on the farm

We’re having a special time together as a church family tonight at a family farm. There will be finger foods (hopefully no fingers will be lost), maybe a game or two, and some worship in music and in God’s Word.

Here’s what we’ll be singing before Harry Hammond brings God’s word to life for us from John 17.

We can’t start without praising God, the source of all our blessings, so we’ll sing what is commonly called the “Doxology“. We follow that with a song we just started singing here at Faith, the “Romans Doxology” from Romans 11:33-36, which then leads us to “The Steadfast Love of the Lord”.

Because the Lord’s love is faithful and true, we can trust in Him, and will sing about that in “Trusting Jesus“. Because we trust Him, we can then confidently say ” My Hope is in the Lord“, and then claim “Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine”.

Many/most of you reading this won’t be there, but feel free to sing along with us wherever you are. We’ll be listening.
