Friday was a good day for me, music wise. First, I got a call from Jacob Kitson, tenor for Greater Vision. They are coming to Gaylord High School, and he wanted to make sure we weren’t doing anything that would conflict with that date. (We have sponsored a number of concerts in Cheboygan, including Glad, The Kings Brass and southern Gospel group Legacy Five, and even tried to get Greater Vision a couple of years ago.) Mark the date on your calendar: Friday, May 21, 2010 @ 7:00 PM.
A bit later in the day I received an email from Matthew Smith, saying he was going to be in the area October 24th, and would like to schedule a concert. He has done great work in reworking old hymn texts and putting them in a contemporary setting, most notably with Indelible Grace Music. Set that date aside as well, even though it is still pending.
