{"id":5288,"date":"2022-12-25T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-25T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jdackerman.com\/miscellany\/?p=5288"},"modified":"2022-12-25T00:35:13","modified_gmt":"2022-12-25T05:35:13","slug":"the-christmas-narrative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jdackerman.com\/miscellany\/2022\/12\/25\/the-christmas-narrative\/","title":{"rendered":"The Christmas Narrative"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Merry Christmas!\u00a0 Today is the day we celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 Most of the world celebrates the day, but not all celebrate the event.\u00a0 Many have not even heard the story surrounding Jesus&#8217; birth.\u00a0 I thought I would fix that for those who may read this.\u00a0 Below is a link to a reading of the scriptural version, from the ESV, or English Standard Version.\u00a0 It is taken from Luke 1:5-79, Matthew 1:18-25, and Luke 2:1-20.\u00a0 Please listen, and as Mary did, ponder these thins in your heart.<\/p>\n<p>Then remember that as we celebrate Jesus&#8217; birth, as with any birthday party, we also celebrate His life and what that means to us, how it affects us.\u00a0 We shouldn&#8217;t just look at the incident of His birth, we should look at His entire life &#8211;
