When you go to church today, and they sing a hymn or chorus or other type of song, think of the words in this Psalm, and sing out loud. Sing together with those around you, singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, and, as Thomas Ken said so very long ago, “Praise God from whom all blessings flow!”<\/p>\n
Oh sing to the LORD a new song;
\nsing to the LORD, all the earth!
\nSing to the LORD, bless His name;
\ntell of His salvation from day to day.
\nDeclare His glory among the nations,
\nHis marvelous works among all the peoples!
\nFor great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
\nHe is to be feared above all gods.
\nFor all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
\nbut the LORD made the heavens.
\nSplendor and majesty are before Him;
\nstrength and beauty are in His sanctuary.<\/p>\n
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
\nascribe to the LORD glory and strength!
\nAscribe to the LORD the glory due His name;
\nbring an offering, and come into His courts!
\nWorship the LORD in the splendor of holiness;
\ntremble before Him, all the earth!
\nSay among the nations, \u201cThe LORD reigns!
\nYes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
\nHe will judge the peoples with equity.\u201d<\/p>\n
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
\nlet the sea roar, and all that fills it;
\nlet the field exult, and everything in it!
\nThen shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy
\nbefore the LORD, for He comes,
\nfor He comes to judge the earth.
\nHe will judge the world in righteousness,
\nand the peoples in His faithfulness.<\/p>\n
