You read them, you know exactly what the psalmist is saying. Like Psalm 130.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!<br \/>\nO Lord, hear my voice!<br \/>\nLet your ears be attentive<br \/>\nto the voice of my pleas for mercy!<\/p>\n<p>If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,<br \/>\nO Lord, who could stand?<br \/>\n<strong>But with you there is forgiveness,<\/strong><br \/>\nthat you may be feared.<\/p>\n<p>I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,<br \/>\nand in his word I hope;<br \/>\nmy soul waits for the Lord<br \/>\nmore than watchmen for the morning,<br \/>\nmore than watchmen for the morning.<\/p>\n<p>O Israel, hope in the Lord!<br \/>\n<strong>For with the Lord there is steadfast love,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>and with him is plentiful redemption.<\/strong><br \/>\nAnd he will redeem Israel<br \/>\nfrom all his iniquities.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.esvbible.org\/Psalm%20130\/\" target=\"_blank\">Psalm 130 ESV<\/a><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The best part of reading the Psalms is that they need little explanation.
