Dear refuge of my weary soul,
On thee, when sorrows rise ;
On thee, when waves of trouble roll,
My fainting hope relies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

II.<\/div>\n
While hope revives, though prest with fears,<\/div>\n
And I can say, my God,<\/div>\n
Beneath thy feet I spread my cares,<\/div>\n
And pour my woes abroad*

III.
To thee I tell each rising grief,
For thou alone canst heal ;
Thy word can bring a sweet relief
For ev’ry pain I feel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

IV.<\/div>\n
But oh ! when gloomy doubts prevail,<\/div>\n
I fear to call thee mine ;<\/div>\n
The springs of comfort seem to fail,<\/div>\n
And all my hopes decline.<\/div>\n

Yet, gracious God, where shall I flee ?<\/div>\n
Thou art my only trust,<\/div>\n
And still my soul would cleave to thee,<\/div>\n

No, still the ear of sov’reign grace<\/div>\n
Attends the mourner’s pray’r ;<\/div>\n
O may I ever find access,<\/div>\n
