I bought a new book for our super readers in Kindergarten and thought it might be appropriate for some today. This was a favorite of our kids growing up – yes, it’s that old. It was published in 1972! Listen and maybe even commiserate if you need to.
I find it interesting that Ms. Viorst ends the book the way she does, though. No hope for tomorrow, just a “Some days are like that.” Habakkuk had a bad day or two, but at the end of the day he had a different mindset. You can hear his end of the day thoughts here, in this song by Caroline Cobb, or read them in the Bible, at Habakkuk 3:17-19.
If you would like your own copy of Judith Viorst’s delightful book, get it here on Amazon. Just be aware that, as an affiliate, I may receive a small commission, which in no way affects your end price.
