Happy Mother’s Day!

A few days ago we got to talking. There’s not much else to do since we’re pretty much still in lockdown mode. Anyway, Denise mentioned the song her mother sang with her uncle (Mom’s brother) and wondered if I still had it. Well, I searched the archives, and found it, and sent it around to the family.

Then I decided it would be nice to make a music video, so here you go. Phyllis Bos and her brother Stu Blair singing “Walk That Lonesome Valley” with assorted Phyllis and family pictures. She never did much alone, as these pictures will attest, and even that last walk through the valley was not alone, as David said in Psalm 23.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

If you want to see more sentimental, guaranteed to make you cry stuff, go here, to Mom’s last birthday party, celebrated Labor Day weekend, 2009.
