A Father’s Love

I love my father. He has been a tremendous influence on my life, showing me how to live as a husband and father, and how to love unconditionally. He has shown me how to live through adversity with faith and strength. I could not have hoped for a better model of a Godly life than what he has lived. Thanks, Dad.

I love my sons. They each are living a life that gives evidence to the fact that they love God, their wives, and their daughters. They are models of God to their daughters, who see the heavenly Father’s love for them through how they are loved.

I love my heavenly Father, and as much as I love Dad and my boys, I love Him the most. And you know what? I hope that’s the same way they feel about me. It means I have done a good job as a son and as a father.

What a great picture we have of God’s love for us in this song by Stuart Townend, “How Deep the Father’s Love For Us”.

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away,
As wounds which mar the chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.

Thanks, Dad. Thanks, Craig and Peter. I love you all. Happy Father’s Day.
