Day three began with a promise of rain and overcast skies, but the hope of better weather to come as we got away from Opatija.  The plan was to take in towns along the Istrian peninsula.  As the itinerary says, this is what we anticipated:  Enjoy a full day excursion along the Istrian Riviera coastline to Pula. View the ancient Roman amphitheater, one of the largest remaining in existence, as well as the Basilica of Euphrasius. Continue to the resort of Rovinj where you will have time to explore the town independently before returning to Opatija.
